Students in the Thursday/Friday class had a great turn out at their "Manufactured Landscapes" exhibition at the Village Hall on April 10th. Their work was inspired by their research of a particular location and the natural resources or narratives derived from it. They used information gained from a 3-week computer modeling and rapid prototyping workshop, in addition to newly acquired woodworking and metal fabrication techniques, to construct mixed media sculptures or manmade "landscapes". The students then curated and installed the exhibition and opened it to the public for two days. Below are some images of the show's opening. Individual works can be seen here.
