  1. The documentation of this work serves the piece quite well. I find it interesting that she did not find a white wall for the background to photograph this work, since the white wall would blend with everything. For some reason I don’t mind the brick wall, in fact I think it works. I do however wonder if there was something else that would be more suitable. Also I wish she captured the bead going through the wire, in the photographs.
    I feel like that detail was of huge importance to the piece. It seemed the one hand was transmitting to the other less colorful hand. Just like brain waves transmitting messages to the rest of the body. I couldn’t make up my mind on whether the one hand was sucking the life, (demonstrated by the massive amounts of color on the hand on the left), or the left hand is pulling the right one towards. The two different levels on pedestals works great in the piece. I feel like the piece would not have been successful with the same size pedestals.
    The materials she used were interesting. The Crayola crayons turned out not the way I expected, melting into mounds like that. I do question the two different types of wire, I don’t know if the different types and colors are necessary. Over all it was a great piece.
